About The Howard Hotel

The Howard hotel is situated in a lovely position on the north Promenade, just a few minutes walk from the North Pier, Tower, and the shopping and entertainment amenities provided in the town centre.

The Howard is run by the Broadhurst family, who have been at the hotel for 20 years, and are proud of the good reputation they have built up.

The Hotel has a warm, friendly feel about it, possibly because visitors returning year after year help to create this atmosphere. All bedrooms, are double glazed with full central heating. They have colour televisions and tea/coffee (which are replenished daily). All beds have crisp white linen sheets and continental quilts. The Howard is a fully no smoking hotel and is accessed by the steps at the front.

The rooms all have en-suite showers, toilets, wash basins and shaving points, with fresh bath towels, hand towels and soap provided on your arrival. Most of the bedrooms have a double bed, but we do have some rooms that are either twin bedded or family size.

In the dining room, separate tables are provided and meals are served at set times of 9:00 am breakfast, and 5:00 pm dinner. In order to give our customers a choice of meal we operate a pre-ordering system, i.e. orders for your dinner are taken after breakfast and vice-versa. This enables us to provide good fresh food prepared and cooked to a high standard.

The bar is open around 4:30 pm each day for drinks to be enjoyed at the evening meal, and closes at 11:00 pm. The bar is well stocked with all the usual spirits, popular bottled beers and soft drinks. Freshly prepared sandwiches, snacks and hot drinks can be purchased each evening between 8:00 pm and 10:30 pm.

The Sun Lounge has direct access to the Promenade and overlooks the Irish Sea, and in the evenings is used by many people for either watching their favourite television programmes, enjoying a quiet drink from the bar, or meeting old and new friends they have met at the Howard.

It is hoped that your stay with us at The Howard will be most enjoyable. The family work together to provide a warm welcome and a comfortable stay, and it is our intentions that should you return to Blackpool it will be to the Howard.
